Your Right to Data Deletion

Saney respects your right to control your personal data. You may request the deletion of all personal information we hold about you at any time, including data collected through Meta platform integrations (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp).

This page explains what data we hold, what will be deleted, and the steps to submit a deletion request.

What Data We Hold

Depending on how you have used Saney, we may hold the following data about you:

  • Account information (name, email address)
  • Authentication data processed through Clerk
  • Chat conversations and message history
  • Uploaded documents (PDFs, CSV files) and their metadata
  • Chatbot configuration and performance data
  • Data received from Meta platforms (page interactions, messaging data, page tokens) via connected integrations

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your data, follow one of the methods below:

Option 1 — Email Request

Send an email to info@saney.io with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Include the following details in your message:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your Saney account
  • Whether you want a full account deletion or removal of specific data only
  • Any Meta platform (Facebook Page, Instagram account) linked to your workspace, if applicable

Option 2 — In-App Account Deletion

If you have an active Saney account, you can initiate deletion directly:

  1. Log in to your Saney dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account
  3. Select Delete Account and confirm your request

This will immediately queue deletion of your account and associated data.

What Happens After You Request

1. Confirmation

We will send a confirmation email within 2 business days of receiving your request, acknowledging receipt and providing a reference number.

2. Processing

We will complete deletion of your personal data within 30 days of the confirmed request. This includes removal of your data from our primary systems, third-party services where feasible, and connected Meta platform data.

3. Retention Exceptions

Some data may be retained beyond 30 days where required by law (e.g., financial or tax records), to resolve ongoing disputes, or to prevent fraud and abuse. We will inform you of any such exceptions in the confirmation email.

Meta Platform Data

If you connected a Facebook Page or other Meta account to Saney, we hold certain data obtained through the Meta Graph API (such as page messaging tokens and conversation history).

Submitting a deletion request to Saney will remove this data from our systems. To also revoke Saney's access to your Meta account entirely, you should additionally:

  1. Go to your Facebook SettingsApps and Websites
  2. Find Saney in the list of connected apps
  3. Click Remove to revoke access
