Cookie Notice
Effective date: May 28, 2026
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage and session storage, and tracking pixels. In this notice we call all of them "cookies".
This notice covers saney.io, the Saney dashboard, and storefronts hosted by Saney.
Essential
Required for the site, dashboard, and storefronts to work. These are always on and do not need your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__session, __client_uat, and other __clerk cookies | Clerk | Keep you signed in and protect your account | Session to 1 year |
saney-cookie-consent:v1 (local storage) | Saney | Remembers if you turned off analytics and advertising cookies | Until you change it or clear your browser |
sidebar_state | Saney | Remembers whether the dashboard sidebar is open | 7 days |
| Banner and tip dismissals | Saney | Remembers notices you have closed, so they don't keep reappearing | Until you clear your browser |
Functional
Remember things you asked us to remember. They stay in your browser and are not used for tracking.
| Name | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cart-storage-v2 | Storefronts | Items in your cart | Until you clear your browser |
wishlist-storage-v2 | Storefronts | Items you saved to your wishlist | Until you clear your browser |
lastOrder:<store> | Storefronts | Your last order and the contact and delivery details you entered, used to show your order confirmation and fill in checkout next time | Until you clear your browser |
| Referral code | saney.io | Credits the person who referred you if you sign up | 7 days |
| Dashboard caches | Dashboard | Speed up analytics, store setup drafts, bot previews, and usage alerts | Until you close the tab or clear your browser |
If you use a shared or public device to order from a storefront, clear your browser data afterwards so the next person can't see your details.
Analytics
Help us understand how people use Saney so we can improve it. These are on by default, and you can turn them off.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) | Count visits and see which pages and features are used | Up to 2 years |
Advertising
Help us measure how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram work. These are on by default, and you can turn them off.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp, _fbc | Meta Pixel | Record visits and actions, such as booking a demo, so we can measure our ads | Up to 90 days |
Your choices
You can turn off analytics and advertising cookies at any time with the Cookie settings link in the website footer. Once they are off, we only use essential and functional cookies and stop loading analytics and advertising tools. Cookies they already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them.
You can turn them back on from the same link.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but sign-in, carts, and other features may stop working.
To learn how Google uses this data, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. To control how Meta uses data for ads, visit your Facebook ad preferences.
Businesses using Saney
Storefronts and chatbots are run by the businesses that use Saney. The analytics and advertising cookies above are Saney's own. A business may use its own tracking tools on its own website; their privacy notice covers those.
Changes and contact
We update this notice when the cookies we use change. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information, or contact us at info@saney.io.
